Q.Does the meat in the normal hamburger come from the same source as the meat in the quarter pounder?
A.Crew Question Mark

Yes it does. To get a better idea on how McDonald's source and prepare the meat for its burgers, check out the "Where our Food Comes From" section on this website and watch the film of Parents' Panel visit to a supplier's farm, also on this site.

Q.How many sesame seeds do you put on a bun in mcdonalds
A.There is no set amount as it will vary during preparation. However, it is important that there is an even coverage of the seeds.
Q.how much salt do you put on your fries?
A.Thanks for your question.
The French Fries are lightly salted by hand after cooking. So the actual amount may differ slightly per individual portion. You can find more nutritional information by using the Guideline Daily Amount Counter, which is in the Nutrition section on the website, or on the nutrition tables on the reverse of our trayliners.
Q.I can not eat McD's chips anymore as they are too salty. I have asked for no salt and been told that thats the way they are made.
My husband wants to know why he should bother going large on chips when all you get is a bigger box.
A.McDonald's apologises for any disappointment you experienced with its French fries. Although the fries are prepared with a light sprinkle of salt once they are cooked, there should be no reason why that you cannot have a fresh portion made for you unsalted. If you are told by the crew member serving you otherwise, please speak to the restaurant manager who will see to it that a fresh portion is prepared for you. As you have mentioned, the large fries do come in a carton that is bigger than the medium fries and the bag of the smaller fries, therefore resulting in more. Again, if you are unhappy with your food, just consult the restaurant manager who will do his/her best to find a solution for any problems.
Q.I would like to buy McDonald's coffee for home use. Is there any way that I could do this? Who provides your coffee and what kind is it?
A.The coffee used in McDonald's Ireland restaurants is made exclusively for the company by Kenco from freshly ground coffee beans that come from a sustainable source as sanctioned by the Rainforest Alliance. Unfortunately, this coffee is not available for purchase in shops.
Q.Is it true that a McDonald's burger only takes 45 seconds to cook?
A.

McDonald’s Hamburgers take approximately 42 seconds to cook. The beef patties are cooked between hot plates that cook the patties from both sides - a similar cooking process to the grilling machines that are sold in a variety of kitchenware stores. Its lower cooking surface reaches 177 degrees centigrade, and the top plate reaches 218 degrees centigrade. The clamshell design allows for the burger patty to cook evenly and quickly from both sides. All the food and cooking equipment go through stringent tests to ensure that they represent the best quality in the quickest time. The burger patties themselves are 100 percent beef, no binders, fillers or additives, with a little salt and pepper added after cooking for taste.

Q.what percent of your quarter pounder burgers does water take up?
A.A cooked and seasoned Quarter Pounder beef patty contains approximately 56% moisture.
Q.what potatoes do you use to make your very long fries and out of one potato how many grams of raw fries do you get?
A.Our French Fries are made exclusively from the Russett Burbank, Shepody and Pentland Dell potatoes, specially selected for their long shape. You will get approximately 168 grams of French Fries from one potato.
Q.Why do you insist on calling them 'beef patties' rather than 'beef burgers'. Do they not meet some kind of minimum meat requirement to be called burgers?
A.Beef Patties' refers to the 100 percent minced beef which makes up part of a beef burger. A complete beef burger refers to the burger with all the added ingredients including the lettuce, bun, gherkins, onions etc. Basically the beef Patty is a component of the beef burger.
Q.You have said your McNuggets are minced chicken breast and marinade. What is in said marinade, and what is the ratio (in grams) of chicken to marinade?
A.The Chicken McNuggets contain 45 per cent chicken breast meat (the balance of the McNugget being the coating). The marinade used in the nuggets contains water, natural flavourings, potassium chloride, potato starch and vegetable oil and is about 18% of the uncooked nugget.
