Community

introduction

Community

McDonald’s priority is to give back to the communities it serves simply because it is the right thing to do.

Giving back is an underlying principle of our business philosophy dating back to McDonald’s founder, Ray Kroc.

McDonald’s restaurants in Ireland are committed to contributing to the community within which they operate – whether that is by sponsoring a local sports team at grass-roots level, supporting their local community groups on environmental issues (e.g. litter clean-up initiatives), or fund-raising for Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC) of Ireland.

RMHC is at the core of McDonald’s Ireland’s commitment to the community. Through financial contributions, fundraisers, franchisees, company employees and suppliers all work together to help families of seriously ill children through RMHC.

  • Environment Image

When you do your bit for the environment, you want to know that the businesses you support do their bit too.

  • Charity Image

  • Sponsorship Image

You know that being part of a community requires commitment. Whether it’s getting involved in youth projects or training the local football team, your contribution makes you part of a team.

  • Junior Achievement Image

When McDonald’s wanted to find a constructive way to help young people understand business and economics, we found that the Junior Achievement Programme was the best way to get involved.
