McDonald’s is 35 years in Ireland, employs over 4000 people, is 10 years on the Great Places to Work list and we will continue to create 250 new jobs every year
The first McDonald’s opened on Grafton Street in May 1977 – and we have been going from strength to strength ever since. But of more interest is the fact that we now employ nearly over 4000 people across over 86 restaurants, our People Centre and our Head Office – this makes us one of the largest employers in Ireland .
For the past 10 years we have entered the Great Places to Work competition – and for the past 10 years we have been recognised as a great employer. For the past two years, we have finished in the top 7 companies – an enormous achievement for our business.
And the opportunities that we give our people have continued to develop and change. We now offer City and Guilds accreditation of our crew training and we are establishing a Manager’s Degree Programme with the National College of Ireland - something we are proud of!
